Fire Department

The City of Carrington Fire Department's mission is to protect and enhance the quality of life for all citizens and visitors from the adverse effects of natural and man-made emergencies. 

Our goal is to provide a protection program through a cost-efficient approach to emergency response, fire code application and public fire education.

Fire Protection

For fire insurance purposes, Carrington is rated as a Class 6 city. Over 40 volunteers are trained to handle any emergency, with the help of annual training and an extensive line of fire protection equipment.

A full-service ambulance is presently being managed and operated by a full-time EMT/paramedic and community volunteers. Future plans call for Carrington Health Center to assume responsibility for ambulance services.
